Hi all, Has anyone experienced clunking sounds from their Grandland X Hybrids? Especially driving in electric mode you can hear the clunking sounds from the front rightof the car. It sounds like something needs to be lubed up. When i go over bumps the sound doesnt appear so i dont believe its the suspension. I have seen some posts about ball joints, if this sounds like this, has anyone had this sorted and a rough cost you paid? Thanks all

Hi all, hope everyone is shining up their cars for the summer. If anyone is interested, there is a new event at Stonham Barns Park, in June. It is a non club stand event, but you can either do the weekend or just a day. All you have to do is turn up in your Vauxhall, Bedford, or Opel. I will add a picture with details on. Would be nice to meet up with some faces of owners.

Help. I have a 2010 meriva 1.4 petrol about 4 weeks ago it went into limp mode. I connected it to the diagnostic computer and it said cam sensor faulty. I replaced it and it was fine for 4 days then it went again. I turned out it had 2 sensors and I replaced the 2nd one. All fine for a week then it went again saying the crankshaft sensor was faulty so it was replaced and the car ran lovely for a week but today it went again saying the crank sensor and cam sensors are faulty. My wife needs the car for work and I need it for my chemo treatment visits. Any ideals out there. Pensioner.

I have a 2017 Viva petrol, super little car, but the air blower is now only pushing out cold air. This isnt a major problem in the warmer weather, but a tad cold in the winter. A mechanic said it was a flap, but cant find one anywhere. Any ideas

Hello all, My wife bought a 2019 Combo with full tow bar/electrics but the electrics don't work. OE stuff, not by-pass. From what I can gather the BCM has not been told that the car has trailer electrics! Local Opel dealers in Ireland do not want to look at the car becasue it is an import from Northern Ireland. It's the same as a Berlingo but the Citroen computer does not recognise the chassis number! What I'm looking for is someone in Mid Ireland with an Opel MDI2 to just check that the trailer electrics are turned on! Does anyone have this? Thanks.

Just incase anyone else has this issue, the veins were blocked in the turbo, half a tin of mr muscle oven cleaner and 20 mins later running fine. I have now got ‘ service Adblue system’ on dash but it’s not the first time and according to Vauxhall it will disappear by itself eventually! It did last time so fingers crossed it will this time.

Purchased a petrol grandland x 1.2 turbo 7 months ago from an independent garage. Was serviced at the time at 32000. Now at 39000. Oilcheck kept saying okay on turnover. Engine management light has been on off for 4 days. Today it went red. Check the oil and it was bone dry! I ve filled it up and will take it to the garage first thing (if it's still running!) Can anyone advise me on if its a fault with the car, as I'm seeing lots of you say... can Vauxhall foot the bill ( although I didn't buy direct from them) or can I return to the garage I bought from? Hi all I have a 2019 insignia 2.0l diesel, with fault code P226B. Been pressure tested and has no leaks, map sensor and egr been cleaned all good. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? It was serviced on Thursday ran fine all day then Friday went into reduced power with engine management light on. Cleared the code and again went into limp mode when hitting 3000 revs, at a loss now as to what is causing it. Any ideas would be welcome at this point

Hi Damo, welcome to the club. You have 2 cars that are at opposite ends to each other. Sorry to hear that your Astra is a money pit. I'm guessing the Insignia is a more reliable vehicle.

Had a code 68 on my meriva B, needed a new battery and alternator fitted as it was not putting out enough power to work the power steering! Works fine now

Apologies if this has been discussed before. I have a 54 plate 1.6 Zafira manual. Has anyone experienced a judder when pulling away in 1st gear? The clutch bite is good and runs really smooth when the clutch is fully up and driving in any gear, but in 1st gear when pulling away normally (not rushing or trying to speed off at the lights) there is a horrible judder/hop, which disappears once the clutch is fully released and pulling along. Difficult to explain but the best way to control it is constantly adjust the biting point and throttle, when you pull away applying approx 1500 rpm it starts to judder. Dip the clutch slightly, apply a bit more gas and balance the biting point is the best way to juggle a smooth pull away. It happens almost all the time but I would say a bit worse after an hour or so of driving and only does it in 1st gear when pulling away. Especially bad when doing a hill start. I was wondering if it may be a slave cylinder, or the flywheel needs balancing, or even a worn engine mount?? But is this a common problem in this underpowered model? I previously had an 05 plate with the same engine and manual also, I recall it never being easy and smooth on pulling away. Maybe I've just had bad luck! Any ideas would be much appreciated. Cheers.
