  2. Ahh. Thats that idea out the window. What are the door rubbers like? Maybe heavy rain is getting in that way. When you looked in engine bay for any leaky pipes. Did you check the coolant level? If that is a bit low then maybe a pipe going to heater .
  3. Do you have a sunroof?? If you do, it might be worth checking the drain holes in the front corners of it to see if they are blocked. These drains normally are routed down the A pillar and can cause water to seep in to the footwear.

  7. Have you checked all wiring to all sensors as a break in a wiring could cause this issue - see if it happens when the engine is running and you 'wiggle' the wires going to sensors and actuators
  8. Hi all, hoping someone can help me out here. I have a 2011 zafira 1.7 cdti, car has been perfect for the last 4 years then out of the blue it started juddering, limp mode and smoke out the exhaust. I scanned it with my snap on solus and had an injector 4 code misfire so I ordered a new one, along with a new bosch fuel filter, changed it along with new seals and coded it. Car now starts but have a code telling me small quantity not learnt, so I go into special functions and start the test..... it won't complete it, car stalls and won't restart, now have a dpf fault, removed dpf internals and map out, car starts again but still won't learn the small injection quantity, its up to temp, doors closed, everything off etc and now the injector 4 misfire and limp mode are back. On searches seems a common fault with the 1.7cdti

  22. How do i get the cigarette lighters out of their sockets? Or do i need to strip centre console panels off. Is there a diagram or instructions available on how to remove them etc.
  23. maurice joined the community
  24. I think the first move is to see where you have power going up to the lighter sockets. Using a multimeter or test lamp see voltage what you are getting at the sockets and work your way back through the electrical system from there to establish if there is a break in the circuit somewhere
  25. I can see what you are up against as so much conflicting information out there on the type of autoboxes that are available. If it were me I would clean the exterior of the areas I would be working in (e.g. bottom and side of the box. Warm the engine up but not too hot as the fluid could scold when being drained. With a drain tray underneath let the fluid drain into it and try not to lose any as you will have to measure the quantity of old fluid. If there haven't been any leaks then what comes out is what should be in there. Ensure you have plenty of fluid to fill the box and top up over the next few days. If you remove the sump or side cover then fit a new filter and gasket(s) and see how it goes after that. Also examine the fluid for colour and particles (metal, fibre, etc) and if it smells of burnt toast then the fluid has been heated by wear on the clutch plates.
  26. Hi I have 1.8 8v cavalier MK3 with aw 50-40le auto gearbox. I need to do an oil change as it's dirty but need to know how much it takes as some sites say 3 l with out filter and some say 6l. It has to be done via dipstick hole as it a sealed box so only will do a basic change. Does anyone have this box that can advise. A rust free car with 96000 from new and original radio cassette. Thanks I'm
  27. Hi looking for some help regarding cigarette lighter sockets. When i bought the car the 1 beside usb was not working so i used the rear near passenger footwell centre section and that went off aswel now. The fuse is ok i checked its in the engine compartment its a 20amp and i also switched it with another 20amp and both fuses are fine. What could it be? Will i need to replace both cigarette lighters if yes which 1s should i get. Any help will be appreciated thanx.

  29. Same problem here updated after owning the car for a couple of days. To be fair the dealer managed to inspect the unit 3 days later & after consultation with Vauxhall techs have told me the unit is dead. The manufactures warranty on the vehicle runs out on the 30th November 2025 so waiting to find out if the cost will be covered. I have been told the unit itself costs £880 so fingers crossed.
  30. sorry, no I don't know but it would certainly worth trying them up for size if you could find the doors
  31. Hi and welcome to the Club You can pick away the brains but not sure you'll find much 😄 Good to have you onboard!
  32. have you checked the boost sensor on the slam panel well know for making the noise you describe
  33. Hi all new to the forum and own an Insignia 2ltr cdti sri might need to pick your brain sometime
  34. Damn display screen loaded as normal this morning, and again after a few restarts. No clue why the screen went black for a day or so.
  35. Hi Zafira C - 2016 2.0 Diesel Radio/SatNav screen didnt come on this morning, just black. Radio working fine, I can change stations, right/left arrows work ok. Sound is still fine. Iveread resetting the fuses behind the glove compartment can resolve, looks like fuse 5. Failing that, if the screen is bust, can I replace with a working used screen unit? Ive seen them on ebay for around £150. Is there any coding work required to replace the screen? Or any other fixes anyone has had success with? I tried to do a hard reset, read different suggestions such as holding down the phone button, holding the power & right arrows together, nothing worked. Cheers John Glasgow
  36. Does anyone one know if doors etc are interchangeable from corsa F (electric) or sri to Corsa F 1.2 all orange, i know part numbers are different

  38. If it is just an O ring then I would go to a hardware or hydraulics store which should sell them but ensure they are black in colour as if they are any other colour it could mean they are made of Viton or some other material that is heat resistant. Maybe also worth applying some sealant or grease prior to fitting
  39. Thank you for your response, yes it a simple O ring for each of the camshaft solenoid sensors have contacted local Opal / vauxhall dealers but unfortunately they don't seem bothered to respond or give a random part Number that does match that vehicle. If possible could you recommend a good UK vauxhall parts department that I could email and get the correct part Number. Many thanks.
  40. I wonder if you have contacted your local Opel dealership in France but also whether you could send an email to a UK based dealership to see if they will supply the part number(s) or order them for you? If it is an O'ring type seal then a local hardware store may sell these along with any sealant you may wish to apply before fitting
  41. Hi, wondering if anyone can assist me with a part Number for the camshaft solenoid oil seals on a vauxhall Astra H GTC (A04) 2008 1.6 eco SXI (L08) (85kw /116 ps as I live in france and it's an absolute nightmare trying to track down parts any help would be greatly appreciated if many thanks in advance
