Hi there I bought a 2013 Meriva B 1.3 Ecoflex and 500 miles later the power steering stops working and I get a Code 68. Scan with Foxwell NT301 shows no trouble codes or pending codes. New battery just fitted, stop/start AGM thats correct for the vehical. Voltage on start up reaches 15v for about 30 seconds then settles down to 14.5 and eventually 13.7 (not sure how normal that is) I'm wondering what my next step is. Any advice much appriciated Thanks!

Failed firmware upgrade
ALISON HARVEY replied to ALISON HARVEY's topic in Vauxhall Crossland & Grandland X Club
Mine is the same model and year. It crashed when I used the Vauxhall update. In the end they paid half but not without a fight. It still cost me £611 -
Failed firmware upgrade
David Harrington replied to ALISON HARVEY's topic in Vauxhall Crossland & Grandland X Club
I’ve had the same problem for over a year now. As well as the unit refusing to update, I’ve also lost the globe icon & all my live features on the Sat-Nav. It’s been back & forth several times to the dealership & even with an extended warranty they are still refusing to cover the cost of replacing the unit. I’m now getting so frustrated with this, that I’m seriously considering getting rid of the car & getting a different make. In case you are wondering it’s a 2021 Nav Elite Turbo. -

I need a power steering pipe. I've a 3.2 series b and the pipe goes over the cross member at the front of the chassis. I's the top one I need. The lower one is okay.

Vauxhall Senator 24v component location
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Gedm6's topic in Vauxhall Senator Club
I would try to acquire an electrical workshop manual for the car as from memory I cannot recall any of the component locations so maybe best to look at a wiring diagram. -
it just probably needs using and running at higher engine revs to bring the engine to temperature where the piston rings can seal a bit better - usually gummed up with carbon
-
Great news that you've found the issue Andy - good luck with the MOT
-
I would try DemonTweeks as they have mostly everything you would need for a kit car build

Hey, is this a common issues with the crossland x? We purchased in April last year and it’s by far the worst Vauxhall I’ve ever owned. engine fault light came on previously and a huge oil issue, oil changed, and no less than 4 months later light is on again and another bottle of oil. My dip stick was dryer than the Sahara. 70 plate crossland x 48,000 miles. really want to just give the car back and track down my old car again because this is beyond a joke of a car now.

Most SatNav devices offer simple methods for updating, whether through connecting to a computer for manual updates, using a mobile app, or directly over Wi-Fi for modern models. By regularly updating your SatNav, you can avoid unexpected detours, benefit from more accurate travel times, and ensure your journey is as smooth as possible.

I bought a crossland back in January and the service light kept coming on and top up engine oil, I work for a garage so let my mechanic look which he noticed engine oil was low and the wet belt was fraying, I contacted the garage and was booked in which they replaced the belt and upon picking the car up I was told he was surprised the warranty company replaced this as it’s a serviceable item which only having the car 3 months is pretty crap. Anyway I got it replaced but it seems to be using more fuel now, half a tank in 2 days, is this a norm for it to settle in?

Hi gang So I bought a 2013 Meriva 1.3 ecoflex diesel with 140k miles, I was told it was perfectly fine and had some servicing done to make it issue free, I get it home and after 300 miles the power steering gives out and I get code 68. I noticed the PAS fluid was low so I topped that up. It didn't come back. I more recently notice the voltage jumps to 15.2v max then comes down to 14.4v after about 30 seconds to a minuet. The batterys charge at standing is 12.5v. I have a diagnostics tool in the post so will update this post when it arrives but if anyone is familiar with these issues and wants to give me some input I would really appriciate that. If you'd like any more info please let me know. Thanks a lot!

I have now in my possession a 1996 Vauxhall Astra 1.4 Montana in green with 154,000 on the clock. I think it’s now had 3 owners as I had to put it into my name for SORN. My father owned the car for years and it was always garaged so it’s in very good condition but the engine even though it gleams does smoke a small amount. I would love to have any feedback on potential buyers.

Excessive Oil Use
Paul Cowley replied to Barry Brown's topic in Vauxhall Crossland & Grandland X Club
Ive recently brought a Vauxhall Grandland and have only had it since Feb 2025. Ive had consistant issues with the oil light coming on over and over again. Ive taken it to the garage on four occasions and they consistancy keep filling the car up with oil. The garage say there is nothing wrong with the car but I still keep getting this oil light coming on. Its been an absolete nightmare from the day I purchased it. Ive complained about this but the garage dont want to know basically because their is not a fault reading but it still doesnt come to the fact that im still getting issues on an on going basis. Im extremely frusterated with this because the car costs alot of money, plus the inconvience of me having to continuely taking it back to the garage on a number of occasions. Its a disaster purchase so far -

2003, 1.6, 8v auto, 94K miles. I have a chuffing noise from the area of the belts, this has got worse over a few months but can only be heard when the engine is warmed-up. I've run the engine with auxiliary belt removed & noise had disappeared: but this may be because the engine had cooled down, as there was still no noise when refitted. There were no bearing noises from the alternator, tesioner or A/C compressor. Upon running for a few miles the noise returned.......dohhh!!! As far as I can see the timing belt is OK, it's only 3 years & 9K miles old & the tensioner, water pump & thermostat were all renewed. Wish I'd done it myself now. Any ideas? I'm trying to avoid a major strip-down that might prove pointless. Any ideas?
