  6. Purchased from Amazon the iCarsoft OP V2.0, which is apparently dedicated to Opel/Vauxhall cars by many reports. Many thanks to those for your input

  9. Hi Rob I Belive Auto Doc may do some online tutorials on servicing your model and year of car and also of course there will be some info on You Tube, everything seems to be on You Tube nowadays, it's like the Encyclopedia Brittanica of the modern day! All the best with it mate Steve
  10. Hi, Was looking some info if possible. looking to change oil and oil filter Coolant flush and change On a the Crossland x 1.5 diesel 2020. Was wondering what size of sump plug removal tool I need or is there a special one I need. Torque settings etc Has anyone got a step to step quide on how to change the coolant and where to look for bleed valves and anything else that can help etc, I usually use the Haynes manual for guidance but bought the online one for the Crossland x but it’s just a generic one now for any car which isn’t great. Any help/info much appreciated Many thanks ❤️ Robbo
  11. Hi All, Just purchased a 66 plate 1.4 Corsa for my daughter. Lovely vehicle however, noticed that the radio stays on when you turn off ignition (and even when you exit and lock the car). Have disconnected the battery for 30 mins to see if that sorts it but it hasn't. Have also looked in all the settings on the system to see if there is anything triggering it and it seems not. Anyone else experienced or have any ideas what it may be? TIA - Tracy
  12. No I'm definitely not resting my foot on the pedal. It happens only in wet conditions at 55mph. It then beeps every 10 seconds and even stopping and switching the car off does not resolve it. They have replaced the sensor twice and the clutch too and still the issue persists.
  13. Welcome to the club Jane . Your car sounds far too lovely to chuck away just because a mechanic can't be bothered to resolve your issue . Perhaps a car electrician might be a good port of call? All the same all the best with it and when you get a mo post a photo of your car. Steve
  14. Hi just joined - didnt know club existed - we have Astra Convertible Bertone 2005 (and Antara 2013) have problems at the moment and mechanics just say too old - get rid !- the convertible had for 13 years been great but now have problem outside door handle not working all electrics and locking working and can open from inside manually (windows drop down naturally when opening - part of roof mechanism) mechanic tried to fix and done damage to the panel - just said get new car - really helpful!) we need an outer handle pull rod which has a small plastic clip which we think is the actual problem) according to vauxhall who have told us the part numbers and who recommended to get in contact with you guys as you may have advice on where we can get one and how to actually fit it, greatful for any ideas - as seem such a small thing to have to get rid of car for but is automatic mot failure. Thank you

  18. Is there any chance that you are resting your foot on the clutch pedal even just slightly
  19. I would use a smoke generator to instantly find the source of the leak eBay link here Smoke Generator Ideal for finding exactly where water is entering

  21. If you would like to put this out to the club as you both live in the same region (Suffolk/Norfolk) and if enough members are interested then we can promote it and then get a club stand if you want?
  22. Yes it is very cool and not what I was expecting - love it ! Is the engine still completely standard?
  23. After taking all carpet out from side and drying and resealing everything im still getting a puddle here after its rained anybody got any idea where its coming from rear passenger side boot
  24. Hi, very odd problom, with so much computers and software and sensors etc in modern cars it's difficult to resolve issues , one would have thought this issue would have arisen in development and either dealt with then of a fix found . All the best with a solution mate , even if they do end up owing you a new car.
  25. I'm having the same issue with a 71 plate crossland that I bought September 25. It only happens in wet conditions at around 55mph when going into 5th gear. In that period the car has been back for at least a month on and off where the sensor was replaced, then the clutch with another new sensor and still the release clutch message appears under the conditions above. The car is under warranty luckily but the still have the car and can't figure it out. I'm at the point now where I'm fed up as I have a car that I cannot drive above 50mph with out the problem occurring. I have said to them if there's no resolve I am wanting a refund or an exchange for another car. If they can't figure it out who can ?
  26. Hiya Wow that's a beautiful car Steve
  27. Thank you so much, I will look into this in Australia. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my father’s car, now proudly mine.

  31. Hiya I had this exact issue with a car I used to own and it needed new wishbones , I'd suggest go to a garage you trust and have then price a repair for you. Steve
  32. @AndyR hows the old Astra's paintwork ? You're definitely close enough to drop by SteveH for a paint repair.
  33. I was exaggerating about paint chips on my car (BMW Z3) it needs a complete respray but as the panels unbolt it would be cheaper to replace them completely with good condition second hand panels - in fact I could even change the colour completely depending on whats out there breaking at the time Very kind offer though - much appreciated
  34. Thank you very much. The car has done 62,000 miles. I think that may be when issues like worn CV joints start occuring plus the roads in this area are absolutely full of deep potholes which obviously doesn't help
