The horn is under the battery tray and has its own battery connected to it. Good luck finding a replacement one, like everything with the antara, all the parts are like trying to find rocking horse poo. I wuld try disconnecting the tilt sensor under the passenger seat first and see if that fixes it, as passing cars ,trucks etc can set off the alarm by rocking the car and the tilt sensor if faulty will think its being moved.

Hi, I have felt a similar thing when coming to roundabouts - I’m advised that it could be the early stages of auto box failure. I also have a jolt when selecting drive when on a slight hill.

I have a 2014 CDTI with about 64k miles. The auto box has just started to jolt as it engages gear particularly if on a hill (up or down hill), but it’s inconsistent. My mechanic suggests it’s starting to fail. Can anyone advise on costs to replace with either a new or reconditioned unit. thanks Ferg

Hi, I live in Grimsby & I am looking for someone to swap a near side rear door. I have bought a replacement that has everything on it, so all it needs is fitting & sorting the central locking. Can anyone on here do this? If so any idea on cost. Happy to travel around 50 miles from Grimsby.

I've fitted new battery today, and it's made no difference unfortunately. I have disconnected it for now as the electric fan kicked in and wouldn't shut off until the battery was unhooked. I'm hoping that maybe overnight the electrics will discharge and when I reconnect the battery there will be an improvement. I have been told that there could be a fault in the cluster itself. So I might remove that and check it out.

I did a reset on the bsi unit , radio is set to uk now , have middle interior light on , when you start to undo the door connector it’s dash board lights up , air con lights up even though ignition is off , even turning on makes no difference, found earth post on inner sill at front both sides , have connected to earth as well just in case , now got another ignition and fuse box cheap , have noticed battery earth has various earths , I put power to electric mirrors and both work but doesn’t like it when I try to put windows up , all black wires in door but connection is coloured lol .

I would consider putting a new battery on if it keeps discharging You may find this will also cure the problem with the gauges

That sounds more like either a loose connection or a Can-Bus fault. I would start by doing a 'wiggle test' which is basically wiggling wires until you invoke the fault and the lights comes on Start with the door wiring where it goes into the door from the pillar

Jonah.68 did you get this sorted I have the same problem, have puts new glow plugs in but no change the spanner light still comes on and stays on until a restart after a few minutes running

Thinking of getting an insignia, possibly the 1.6 ecoflex, I'm 64 now, I don't want performance, I want economy , but MORE importantly comfort, ie, no 18 or 19 inch wheels, 16 inch give a better ride, can ANYONE recommend a car, my budget is 5k , I would like a car with the intelligent headlights, but understand these matrix headlights are not as good as the Audi, VW, BMW equivalents ? Is the refinement on the insignia as good as an equivalent age Mondeo, or is the insignia cabin a quieter place ? Hopefully someone can give me some advice. Thank you. Jerry

I another strange one is after banging passenger door and light on dash come on , oil check etc , radio on , air con lights on , central locking light on , push the hazard button and they all go out straight away. Car more than likely has about 5k miles .

Hi all, I currently own a Corsa and I'm thinking of upgrading to a Crossland X. Having read a few reviews I'm now not sure if I should. Are they worth buying or should I look at something else? Bought a Crossland x 2019 1.2 engine very low mileage with electric fault, sadly didn’t know it had French wiring ( how could Vauxhall agree to that ) , noticed it’s has a new fuse box inside,radio always works, no power to dash or much else , oddly if you slam a door mostly passenger front dash lights up and radio comes on like my mokka x , can’t find any fuses blown that I, all 3 fuse boxes have 12v , electric windows are down, they show 7.5v but how French there all black wires
