Sorry for late update on this I ended up changing the resoviar and low and behold message gone on looking in side of the old one the float was not working so happy days thanks for any reply n this

A few problems there to deal with then! - the window may be a wiring issue. If you open the door, with the ignition on and your finger on the button and slowly open and close the door at the same time and see if this triggers the window to operate. If so then it may well be the wiring coming from the A-Pillar/Bulkhead area to the drivers door (wiring inside rubber trunking breaks where door opens and closes frequently more than the other doors) The whistling sounds may well be a turbo boost hose or intercooler leak which is causing the noise

May be worth checking the level on a flat surface when the engine is cold and if still comes on then try adding some more coolant/water to bring it up near the top line (max) rather than the lower line (min). Had an issue on a Nissan Juke when it said brake fluid low - checked it looked fine, added the smallest amount of fluid to the reservoir and the light went out.

one or the other may be options for different applications - if you can't find somewhere for them both to go then replace the one with the most suitable gasket

if it is still under warranty then I would pop in to see your local dealer and see what they can do about resolving the issue

If the turbo had failed and it was drawing oil into the combustion chambers then there may be quite a bit of oil in the cylinders from that - although over a short amount of time this should disappear. Meanwhile if the plugs are oiled up this bad then the engine would be emitting quite a bit of smoke from the exhaust Maybe worth keep checking them frequently until the problem starts reducing in severity - also regularly check the engine oil level to ensure it is not losing it through some other reason. One other thing you can do is to see if the fault appears in other cylinders by swapping the plugs around and trying to replicate the results which would tell you that it is maybe a particular cylinder at fault

air conditioning generally dumps quite a bit of water under the car near to the rear of the engine. if you smell it and there is no odour, then it is the air con doing its thing - if it smells of coolant (strong chemical smell) then it may be a coolant leak which is more unlikely - if it smells of dog wee then it probably is (don't ask how i know this)

certainly sounds like a loose connection or short circuit to power up the radio but exactly where not sure. If the car is 2024 then it should have a warranty on it - best to take back to the dealer and get them to resolve it before it becomes a more expensive issue

Have the same issue with a Nissan Juke and was thinking of using a silicon to pack out the wear in the plastic bush - nothing to lose if it stiffens it up - got to be replaced anyway I guess

it would be worth taking to a tow bar specialist as the electrics will be tapped into the CanBus electronics and will more than likely need the car programming to accept the modifications

that's probably the first place I would start Andy but also pay careful attention to any rubber hoses, vacuum lines and anything likely to draw draw unregulated air and cause a vacuum leak which may also cause similar symptoms Let us know how you get on with it

Well after doing some research, I have discovered that it is a problem with the throttle body. So later today its getting hauled off and cleaned out. If that doesn't cure the problem then I'll have to invest in a replacement. I will keep everyone posted on the results.

Drivers side window will not work at all now was on it's way out a few weeks back as it would only work sometimes, changed switch still no joy si thinking it my well be moto or relay any one had issues like this. Some it as starting making a whistling sound when accelerating never had it before now been told it may be solenoid at the front on top of radiator but am experiencing some issues with the cooling system so don't know if it is this

Hi all, I'm new here. Have a 72 plate vauxhall Corsa design 5 door 1.2. I've had just over a month and the dealership I got it from said there was a rattle behind dash but despite removing some of it they were unable to see anything and advise to get book it in with a vauxhall garage. Does anyone know whats causing this? If it is under warranty and if not a rough price range to get it fixed. The garage said if it under warranty I'd need to pay £156 for the diagnostic. Also I get a humming type of sound when I've started the car from cold. They advised they couldn't hear anything I hear it every time. Grant

After replacing the knock sensor (it was probably a mistake to replace it), the engine light is still on, indicating that the problem exists. Does anyone know how to solve this?

I have 2012 2.0,estate diesel I have an issue with the cooling system, message on dash when I turn engine on coolant low top up, well done this, still there checked for leaks looking good, checked float and put new one in still there, but the thing is the coolant level as not gone down since I topped it up to the level of mark on bottle and car temp seems to be OK comes up to running temp in around 5 min but never go's over 90 on clock any help on this would be great as I need to use the car for weekly hospital appointments

Hi folks. My Astra has developed an engine stall. Starts up fine and runs reasonably well under power. But as soon as you back off power to come to a stop, the engine cuts out. I didn't think an automatic would do such a thing, but yep she is. I have changed plugs and coil pack. No difference. It does sound like there is a bit of a misfire on tick over. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA. Andy.
