Vauxhall Owners Club started following Parcel shelf mounts and Wet belt & hello!
-
Hi....welcome to the Club Judging by the history of the Ford Ecoboost engines with wetbelts it is a concern to say the least Consensus is that regular (even more frequent) oil changes is imperative and check what is coming out with the oil (fibres, etc)
-
I can't find anything specific on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=vauxhall+zafira+parcel+shelf+brackets&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4439441.m570.l1313 Maybe if he can find another Zafira and take a photo of the brackets to narrow down the search?

Hey, been a member for a few years but rarely used the forum and my previous 2 Corsa's ran like a dream. Did want to know if anyone that has a Corsa with a wet belt has had any issues? My car has been fine, had been contemplating bringing the service forward (last one done 27/01/25, bought car March 25) so things are checked before warranty runs out and MOT is due. Is the wet belt even covered under the warranty? Mileage atm is 28,000.

Hi all, my son in laws Zafira Elegance is missing the shelf mounts that sit behind the seats, and he wants to fit some to be able to use the parcel shelf. Does anyone have any ideas of where we could possibly get some from please. And what the proper name for them would be. Thanks in advance. AndyR

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, I've done some hunting but can't seem to see if this question has been answered before. I have a 2007 vivaro with a crew cab and standard seats. I was wondering if it is a straight switch to remove these and replace them with a set of folding rear seats from a vivaro life/combi from the same year or model? Looking at creating a bed in the back whilst maintaining the ability to transport 6 people. Thanks in advance Jules

I have two problems with my new grandland. 1. Electric boot will only open on it's own 10 per cent of the time 2. It will not run in hybrid mode if the fan is switched on. Fan off and it runs in in hybrid. Has anyone any suggestions on how to rectify these problems John

kposs started following Wet Belt Issue
-
Morning folks! Just wondering how people have managed if they have had a wet belt issue? My Mokka was bought new in 2022 and has done 34k miles. Serviced regularly and only once was it not serviced through Vauxhall in 2024, as they had a waiting list of over a month so I took it to formula one aurocentre. I had my last service through Vauxhall and within 3 weeks the engine light had come on saying the oil pressure was low. Given the service was so recent I went back, they confirmed that the oil was at the right level but topped it up anyway. They did not check the belt. The oil light came on again around 6 weeks ago, but then went off a day later. I called Vauxhall and they said to keep an eye on it but it might just be an electric issue. The light came on again 3 weeks ago and so I called my local vauxhall garage who couldn't fit me in until last week and I therefore asked a mechanic I know to come over and check it, who confirmed the wet belt has heavily deteriorated and to stop driving it. I took it to vauxhall last week, having called them daily to try and get a last minute cancellation appointment and they confirmed that it was a manufacturer fault but wouldn't fix it via goodwill as I had one service through F1. The invoice from F1 didn't state the oil type and after several calls to F1 they advised me that they can't amend invoices but did send me an email detailing everything used and done during that service, which I then forwarded to vauxhall. Vauxhall still refused to fix via goodwill and on top of that, won't give me an overall price to fix the car. Stating that the sump needs clearing and the belt replaced but they don't know if anything else needs doing. Seeing as they've checked the car already I would've thought that they would know but then I'm not a mechanic so My question is, have any of you had a similar issue and how long did it take to resolve? I've only seen forums re other vehicles! Sorry for war and peace, but I thought best to give some background to my story :)

Try putting your reg number into Eurocarparts website and look in engine section to see if it lists a timing belt or chain - easy way to determine which you have and also rough cost for parts
-
I have a 2019 Corsa registered in September 2019, I want to know if it has a dry belt, wet belt or timing chain because I have heard some woryying co9mments regarding wet timing belts

Either a plug to the lamp has become detached or even a rear suspension suspension level sensor rod has become detached
-
Two things I can think of - 1. if the belt has previously come off then was the tensioner okay or is it worn and therefore throwing the belt off? 2. a split turbo pressure hose to intercooler can produce this sound

Wow! this is a strange one - and you seemed to have done all the checks to verify the individual systems Are there any other fault codes (battery charge, ABS, Traction, etc)? -
Hi....and welcome to the club I would start my search on eBay and make sure you check Opel even if you have to get it shipped in from Europe

Did a google search for images of vacuum hoses so maybe if you zoom into some of the images you may find the locations https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=79f64c1ff2a1fa8b&udm=2&fbs=AIIjpHxU7SXXniUZfeShr2fp4giZ1Y6MJ25_tmWITc7uy4KIeioyp3OhN11EY0n5qfq-zEMZldv_eRjZ2XLYc5GnVnME7glWodDcaQwvGYJtospyF4GO5MC0p7Um53mJ2FnRmWwYsd7hv9AfrxH9qUZHRFRalIEFxklAeOUUu2HryaeymXfIRKrbIDV05r5-M57YhEO4LvvmDEUH_Q8-RZZ_9JlQJwsEpg&q=1999+vauxhall+cavalier+1.8+8v+single+point+injection+vacuum+hose+location&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjIjuSelauQAxXBbEEAHQ6NAV8QtKgLegQIFRAB&biw=1659&bih=847&dpr=1 -

Hi I have the 1.8 8v single point injection and am looking for a picture of diagram of where all the breather vacuum pipes go. When I got the car they were broken and missing but can't find anything on what port each pipe goes to. I would be extremely grateful if someone could explain or send a picture of there car to me as to the location.

Hi there and welcome to the group. The 1990 Cavalier SRi is a wonderful car. I owned one back in 2005, but although the mechanics were sound. The body let it down. Needed a lot of welding to the floorpan and chassis rails, so unfortunately it went to scrap. Is yours the 8valve or 16 twin cam? Mine was the 8 valve. There is a page that is for Cavalier owners if you go to the bottom of the opening page.
