  2. Has anyone had to use the stellantis warranty for excessive use of oil. I had a new pcv valve fitted under this warranty but didn't cure the problem. Dealer now suggests a piston ring clean ( using an addative in the oil that doesn't effect the cam belt ) at a cost of £500. This they say is not covered as it is a procedure. Trying to find a number to check if this correct isn't easy. Anyone had a similar problem .

  4. I've just been stung for £1400.00 for a wet belt replacement after 27000 miles and 4 years old. I am going through vauxhall customer care (stanallis ?) and anticipating a fight
  5. Good idea print what you need at the time. Cheers I will give it a go.

  7. Well I am only a few years away from a pension. 😀
  8. Thanks for the prompt reply. Will look for a plug in the boot. There is a hole where the ultimate version has it's camera
  9. I know there are bluetooth ones so saves running wires through the car If you find any wires that are loose in the tailgate or bumper areas then that may be already there to retrofit an OE reverse camera
  10. Lol....I know what you mean but I bought a Haynes manual in electronic format and printed the pages out that I needed at the time. They might do a deal for both vehicle manuals
  11. well at least you'll get practice removing bumper and other panels to gain access to the radiator
  12. Hi I would like advice on retro fitting a rear parking camera to my crossland sri reg no available if needed

  17. We had our car just over a year from 2nd hand and it started to go. I never knew what it was, when i accelerated, i got "stop the car" and allsorts and it would cut out (not good on a fast bypass up in the highlands) My pal is a mechanic and the prices he said around gave me the fear. He said play your face at Vauxhall, so i did, one free wetbelt fitted for free, and not a £600+ bill, job done, Maybe grovel to Vauxhall as they realist how garbage a wet belt is.
  18. I seen them on ebay, it also shows a wee spring, but mine must have took off when the button went !!! loads on ebay

  21. Just bought a ZAFIRA SRI 1.4 turbo 2015 with 47000 on the clock lovely car. Haynes stopped doing a paper back now? Paper yes must be my age! Also drive a 1.8 SRI petrol. Bought in 2017. I had a VECTRA V6 years ago, always loved Vauxhall.
  22. Yes will do. Thank you. That's one job for the 65 plate. I also have a 2011 b that I have a new coolant radiator to fit. always loved a Vauxhall.
  23. I guess as long as it is still running fine and its purely maintenance tasks then it should be straightforward for a skilled mechanic to carry this out. Maybe even with the engine in situ - have you considered a mobile mechanic who can work on it a your premises...may be cheaper as well?
  24. Please let us know how you get on with it and if you find an easier way to access it.
  25. Hi, Was wondering if anybody could help. I've got a Vectra 2.6 GSi V6 that wants quite abit of work doing on it. Think the engine will have to come out for ease of replacing parts. My local garage cant help so was wondering if anybody knew a good Vauxhall specialist or garage around the Derby area that would take the task on. Many Thanks.
  26. Hi, I have the same model/spec and had nothing but bother with all electrics. Same problem with boot. The car has been back at dealership since June and been told parts on back order! It seems to be a common problem with this car. Hopefully you get yours sorted soon.

  28. It may be easier to remove the front bumper as its not that hard to take off. Just make sure you have a blanket on the floor in front so the paint doesn't get marked if you drop it.
  29. Hi all, I need to remove drivers side front fog light. where's the best place to gain access? I looked behind the wheel arch liner, but not a lot of room. Cheers

  34. I would say it is not unrelated as the aux belt will be turning the alternator pulley which in turn charges the battery so its a knock on effect - you will need to ensure the charging system is working properly before looking at any other faults

  36. Dose this need o be done a garage or not, was out in car and I ad to have rac to recover me as the auxiliary belt came off could his be an issue with the lag or not
  37. well at least you have a couple of options now. Good luck with it all and let us know how you get on with it
  38. I've reached the same conclusion - though my limitation is that if I try to do that myself, I can guarantee (from many years of experience) that it will end up even more broken than before I started! I've identified a company that says they can repair it and I'm going down that route now. A vauxhall dealer did come back to me with a quote for the headlight assembly of £780, new, and in stock - which is a few hundred quid cheaper than any of the second hand ones I've seen! Still out of budget for the moment though, but at least there's another route if needed. Thank you for the reply!
