  2. Hi folks, Have a Crossland X 2017 Petrol SUV 1.2. Recently the silver handbrake button broke off, which I believe is a common issue having done a fair bit of Googling. I've seen the metal replacements on Amazon but a few reviews saying they don't fit the Crossland X. Can anyone confirm if they've bought a replacement button from Amazon that's worked ok, or found a temporary solution to keep it attached? Any advice/pointers gratefully received!

  4. Good morning folks, Just registered in here as I have two Vauxhall Mk3 Cavaliers for sale - a 1994 1.8 LS in Bromley Kent and a 1995 2.0 CDX in St. John's Wood, London. I've owned the LS since 1998 as the daily driver and held onto it with the intention of restoring it. The CDX was bought as a donor about 4 years ago, but of the two is actually in better condition. Both will start and run, but are MOT fails and currently SORN. Now I am selling up and moving to Spain and I have nowhere to store them and limited time or funds to do anything else with them. Before posting more details, please would a moderator kindly give me the green light so I don't break any forum rules. Many thanks. Kind regards Andy Woolford

  6. Since my wet belt was changed last year my oil y warning light indicator has been showing. Initially the oil level was correct but lately the dipstick indicates a drop in oil levels to the lower end. I am now using a litre every 1500 miles.

  8. Cheers Andy, just dropped the new one off at Vauxhall in Bristol for a thorough check over, don't want another blown hose and consequent boil over and head skim/head gasket with all that entails! Seems a very common issue on the petrol engines, but too many LEZ areas now for a diesel really ....

  10. Hi all. Are there any members thinking of heading to Vauxfest this coming weekend? Stonham Barns Suffolk. Should be a great weekend for all vauxhall,Opel and Bedford fans. I'm hoping to be able to head down for one of the days. There are trade and club stands this year. So should be more interesting. So get those vehicles polished up, and show your pride and joys to the Vauxhall community . AndyR.
  11. I did the same with my old corsa. Worked a treat and no recurrence either!
  12. Hello all. My 1.4t SE has just developed a liw level rhythmic thrumming sound when at idle, accompanied by a sort of "trickling" sound. Both seem to be behind the dashboard and I can't hear either from outside the car or from the engine bay. The "thrumming" seems to stop when A/C is switched on, and "trickling" stops after about 10 seconds. I suspect an A/C issue even though A/C seems to work very well, but before I spend £132 just getting vauxhall to have a look at it, wondering if anybody has any similar experience and/or advice please? Many thanks Paul (aka pablothetrucker)

  18. Lee at HALFORDS, Botley, Oxford has done two 522GWs for me … one in a 2007 Ford Fusion last year and one in a 2013 Insignia 5dr/hatchback just today. No problem at all. Great chap - knows his stuff. Don’t know where you are but if anywhere near Oxford Lee’s your man for this project to get it done right.

  23. Evening all, am I right in thinking that the 1.4t petrol engines are prone to head gasket failure? If so, are there any oreventative measures I can take beyond regular servicing? Thanks very much.
