Hi all, my son in laws Zafira Elegance is missing the shelf mounts that sit behind the seats, and he wants to fit some to be able to use the parcel shelf. Does anyone have any ideas of where we could possibly get some from please. And what the proper name for them would be. Thanks in advance. AndyR

Morning folks! Just wondering how people have managed if they have had a wet belt issue? My Mokka was bought new in 2022 and has done 34k miles. Serviced regularly and only once was it not serviced through Vauxhall in 2024, as they had a waiting list of over a month so I took it to formula one aurocentre. I had my last service through Vauxhall and within 3 weeks the engine light had come on saying the oil pressure was low. Given the service was so recent I went back, they confirmed that the oil was at the right level but topped it up anyway. They did not check the belt. The oil light came on again around 6 weeks ago, but then went off a day later. I called Vauxhall and they said to keep an eye on it but it might just be an electric issue. The light came on again 3 weeks ago and so I called my local vauxhall garage who couldn't fit me in until last week and I therefore asked a mechanic I know to come over and check it, who confirmed the wet belt has heavily deteriorated and to stop driving it. I took it to vauxhall last week, having called them daily to try and get a last minute cancellation appointment and they confirmed that it was a manufacturer fault but wouldn't fix it via goodwill as I had one service through F1. The invoice from F1 didn't state the oil type and after several calls to F1 they advised me that they can't amend invoices but did send me an email detailing everything used and done during that service, which I then forwarded to vauxhall. Vauxhall still refused to fix via goodwill and on top of that, won't give me an overall price to fix the car. Stating that the sump needs clearing and the belt replaced but they don't know if anything else needs doing. Seeing as they've checked the car already I would've thought that they would know but then I'm not a mechanic so My question is, have any of you had a similar issue and how long did it take to resolve? I've only seen forums re other vehicles! Sorry for war and peace, but I thought best to give some background to my story :)

Try putting your reg number into Eurocarparts website and look in engine section to see if it lists a timing belt or chain - easy way to determine which you have and also rough cost for parts
-
Either a plug to the lamp has become detached or even a rear suspension suspension level sensor rod has become detached
-
Two things I can think of - 1. if the belt has previously come off then was the tensioner okay or is it worn and therefore throwing the belt off? 2. a split turbo pressure hose to intercooler can produce this sound

Wow! this is a strange one - and you seemed to have done all the checks to verify the individual systems Are there any other fault codes (battery charge, ABS, Traction, etc)? -
Hi....and welcome to the club I would start my search on eBay and make sure you check Opel even if you have to get it shipped in from Europe

Did a google search for images of vacuum hoses so maybe if you zoom into some of the images you may find the locations https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=79f64c1ff2a1fa8b&udm=2&fbs=AIIjpHxU7SXXniUZfeShr2fp4giZ1Y6MJ25_tmWITc7uy4KIeioyp3OhN11EY0n5qfq-zEMZldv_eRjZ2XLYc5GnVnME7glWodDcaQwvGYJtospyF4GO5MC0p7Um53mJ2FnRmWwYsd7hv9AfrxH9qUZHRFRalIEFxklAeOUUu2HryaeymXfIRKrbIDV05r5-M57YhEO4LvvmDEUH_Q8-RZZ_9JlQJwsEpg&q=1999+vauxhall+cavalier+1.8+8v+single+point+injection+vacuum+hose+location&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjIjuSelauQAxXBbEEAHQ6NAV8QtKgLegQIFRAB&biw=1659&bih=847&dpr=1 -

I have the same problem. Did anyone solve this yet? -
I had a bit of a similar issue, took it to garage who did a smoke test, had a leaking exhaust….just a loose bolt on a seal……or try Kwik fit for free exhaust test…?

Hi there and welcome to the group. The 1990 Cavalier SRi is a wonderful car. I owned one back in 2005, but although the mechanics were sound. The body let it down. Needed a lot of welding to the floorpan and chassis rails, so unfortunately it went to scrap. Is yours the 8valve or 16 twin cam? Mine was the 8 valve. There is a page that is for Cavalier owners if you go to the bottom of the opening page.

Hi there, and welcome. Sounds like you have a great car there. Such low mileage too. Why not post some pictures of your Corsa for all to see. And glad you like the group.

Up date on issue took a look at it and belt was off, puzzled really if belt was off how is I could drive car with message on dash, so refitted belt and the message as gone so I tested the battery (engine off) was reading 11.35 (engine on) reading 14.56 so took it for drive tonight no message back and belt still on strange, but still have a loss of power in car but this just may be down to the intercooler pipe as I may have a split in it some where as engine makes a whistling sound when accelerating would I be right there

Just got a 65 plate zaf 170 cdti Rubbish headlights, fitted 100 watt bulbs (i know) still rubbish, drivers side on dip just projects two fingers of light, thought it was bulb not seated properly but seems OK. So a single bulb, is it an electric motor that alters the dip to full? Does the lens ( big eyeball type) need cleaning, or the headlights replacing?

Does anyone happen to have a pair of facelift rear lights with bulb holder for sale for hatchback and post to Salisbury Many thanks

Hi, hopefully this will help out other crossland owners. I bought a 2019 model with 18000 on the clock. Every now and then it would throw warning messages such as abs fault, Hill start fault etc, etc. I removed the rear wheels and de-greased the abs sensor and the black rubber bush that it picks up on. Also wd40 the abs connector points. Covered approx 1500 miles since with no issues. Hope this helps guys!

If it's any help, I bought a chip from a German company called racechip+for £200 ,just plug the wiring harness into your car at 4 points ,follow diagram, took 10 minutes, my gtc has 170bhp now instead of 140 bhp ,they also do one that would have given me 235 bhp mine has been in 3 years now ,you also get an app for your phone so you can connect to the chip by Bluetooth and change the settings of the chip

Multiple warnings on dash
Duffy replied to Tait1983's topic in Vauxhall Crossland & Grandland X Club
Did anyone find a solution to this? A release clutch error on dash board would come on every now and again white on motorway, the clutch went and the clutch was replaced we thought this was the reason the warning light was appearing. However this now comes on everytime I am on the motorway and no one can help me. It beeps and beeps until I stop my journey. I Crossland X 70 plate . -
Thank you. That might be something I'll be doing when I get on to it. t works out that these were in the dealers showrooms the year I passed my driving test. It also has the 3 speed automatic box, which was an optional choice as they all came with the 4 speed manual box.
