Vauxhall Astra GTC 2.0 CDTI 2013 Engine Overheating

Hello all,

Hoping you can help. I just turned my vauhxall on after not using it all day and within 5 seconds of driving it said engine overheating and turned off the engine. The car is in regular motorway use so doesn't sit still. 

It makes not sense as the car hadn't been on or driven to overheat. Any help would be much appreciated.
