busdriver Posted October 20, 2010 Share Posted October 20, 2010 i have a 2000 mk4 astrta 1.6 club the problem i have is that went i put the ignition key in and turn the key i get the first click so that the ignition lights come on but when i turn the key to start the engine i have nothing no click i phone a garage up and they have told me that i needed to replace the whole ignition setup including the ecu but i phoned the vauxhall dealers near where i live and they have told me no i can change the ignition barrel only what i want to find out is how do i get the ignition barrel out of the car i have taken of the cowling and have remove the control arms out of the way i was told that there is a grubber screw somewhere but have been unable to locate that so please can anyone get me some advice thank you Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
