Nedryerson
HI, I fitted a new battery and the Insignia (2012 estate) refuses to start unless EASYSTART is used first. Any ideas ?

Nedryerson
More info. The engine will start and run normally with a whiff of 'Quick Start' and will start up normally withing an hour or two but leave the car overnight and it cranks but will not fire. Any ideas out there ?
Nedryerson
Just replying to my own post. To back track - The car has had starting problems from day 1. Today I removed the fuel pump relay and fuel pump fuse and the car started !!. I measured the fuel pump circuit resistance which was infinity. I think the fuel forwarding pump is duff or there is a broken wire in the circuit and the reason the car still starts is that there is residual fuel in the lines to start the engine. Once the motor starts the high pressure pump has sufficient vacuum to draw up fuel without the electric pump's assistance. Makes sense ?
