  1. Just replying to my own post. To back track - The car has had starting problems from day 1. Today I removed the fuel pump relay and fuel pump fuse and the car started !!. I measured the fuel pump circuit resistance which was infinity. I think the fuel forwarding pump is duff or there is a broken wire in the circuit and the reason the car still starts is that there is residual fuel in the lines to start the engine. Once the motor starts the high pressure pump has sufficient vacuum to draw up fuel without the electric pump's assistance. Makes sense ?
  2. More info. The engine will start and run normally with a whiff of 'Quick Start' and will start up normally withing an hour or two but leave the car overnight and it cranks but will not fire. Any ideas out there ?
  3. Replying to my own message. Getting messages on dash - Open window, close window ?
  4. HI, I fitted a new battery and the Insignia (2012 estate) refuses to start unless EASYSTART is used first. Any ideas ?
  5. Hi everyone, My daughter has a 2 litre diesel Insignia estate which cranks but will not start. The RAC have got it going twice by using Easystart and the car is OK for a day or so then the fault reoccurs. She put it into a local garage who checked it over thoroughly, removed and checked the injectors and fitted new copper washers. For them it started every time but 24 hrs later crank but no fire. £200.00 wasted. Any ideas out there?
