corsa b 1.2 sxi (x reg) interior center console lights

are the center console dials supposed to be lit up? ive had a look behind it and i cant see any bulbs or any places for bulbs but it seems a bit stupid if they wernt lit up. am i just stupid or do they really not light up... -
my 1.2 corsa sxi 2000 reg puts the oil warning light on when idling or reving bellow 1k, my mate reckons its the oil pump, but i want to make sure before i start taking stuff apart, any suggestions?
