    Power Steering Problems

    Hi all This evening my Zafira B 1.9cdti xp ex police car with 46k miles decided to have a power steering malfunction. Where I had no power steering at all while driving. Soon as I got back home, after wrestling with the steering wheel and restarted her, she make a whining sound from the pump. Checked fluid and all seams ok on level? But hard to tell when it's getting dark. Followed with traction control light on dash. Plugged op-com in and came up with no communication with power steering pump. Forgot the code but can get it if required. Code won't clear and stays permanent. Anyone else had this problem?
