Rubadum

Hi I've received my bought a 1.8 Zafira 2007 model. There's a few niggles with it, I'm a real car novice, but it believe that you learn by doing, so I've been looking around the car fixing easy stuff along the way. Looking at the engine bay, I've found this wire (picture) just dangling. The air con doesn't even kick in, was wondering if it's related?
