  1. You don't need legal action as yet mukka... The BEST thing to do is to keep a record of all correspondence, then contact Vauxhall Head Office...

Ask why their colleagues are passing you off without physically examining the car ;)

Let me know if you get no joy... I'm good with people like them, I don't "let-up" if I think I have a viable reason !

  2. Ahh, they will use their "Reasonable wear and tear" clause to avoid replacing panels as you have to prove that the defect is with the metal and not due to stone-chip or other interference/damage!

By this I mean the warranty covers bugger all except if the metal was substandard at manufacture...

Would you say the paintwork was intact BEFORE you noticed the defects? And, would you say that no after-market items have been fitted close to the defect?

  3. Its not as simple as the "olden days" when you could just Scotch-Lock your wiring !!

Canbus relies on signals (whether it be a pulse, voltage-drop or dead-line), if the system detects any then the error is created.

It will work but there'll be continuous side/brake light warnings because that particular item is sharing the power with extra lights...

  4. Well hello fellow owners... I know a few know me very well here and I am pleased to actually need intricate details about these cars, so I hope you will help ;)

I haven't owned a Vauxhall since the late 1980's (Cavalier 2.0 mk2 in rusty white !) and never missed it ! Since then I have been a German and Jap car owner, recently parting with a Volvo T-5 300hp monster I thought it was time to grow up and get one with HALF the power LOL

For god's sake talk me out of it   :P
