  1. Join the LINK below for quicker responses ;)
  2. Thanks, when you say "rattling" is it a tinny rattle like metal on metal or more of a tick? When was the timing-belt last change? ... And last full service? Sorry for all the Q's but if I were there I'd nail it quicker !! ;)
  3. A bit more info on what engine it has etc ;)
  4. Welcome aboard matey ;)
  5. Apart from a breakers I couldn't say except for the obvious! Google the part or Ebay...
  6. My pleasure ! You'll notice that its VERY quiet here as the Forum has been neglected... I will try to put a small "Team" together and we'll attempt to bring it back to life ;)
  7. Welcome aboard matey ;) A little quiet here lately !
  8. Welcome aboard fella :) Bet the insurance is not very accommodating !! Get some pics of yer monster ;)
  9. Aahh... Did they give a specific reason why they didn't have you take the car in for examination? If not then that is no grounds at all to not investigate !!
  10. You don't need legal action as yet mukka... The BEST thing to do is to keep a record of all correspondence, then contact Vauxhall Head Office... http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/about-vauxhall/about-us/get-in-touch.html or... http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/tools/vauxhall-contact-us.html Ask why their colleagues are passing you off without physically examining the car ;) Let me know if you get no joy... I'm good with people like them, I don't "let-up" if I think I have a viable reason !
  11. Ahh, they will use their "Reasonable wear and tear" clause to avoid replacing panels as you have to prove that the defect is with the metal and not due to stone-chip or other interference/damage! By this I mean the warranty covers bugger all except if the metal was substandard at manufacture... Would you say the paintwork was intact BEFORE you noticed the defects? And, would you say that no after-market items have been fitted close to the defect?
  12. Not seen chrome ones, but I know you can get some from Vauxhall - Very Pricey... Why not paint the ones you have on now?
  13. Only by asking for the old parts which were yours anyway... Personally, I think a sensor failed whether it be cam, crank, throttle or fuel sensor(s)... As I said, request the original parts back and I bet I'm right ;)
  14. I would guess you've been fleeced matey... Seems the injector told the engine it couldn't cope so it gave a shit load of fault-codes to the ECU and the mechs picked the wrong one to change/fix ;)
  15. Its not as simple as the "olden days" when you could just Scotch-Lock your wiring !! Canbus relies on signals (whether it be a pulse, voltage-drop or dead-line), if the system detects any then the error is created. It will work but there'll be continuous side/brake light warnings because that particular item is sharing the power with extra lights...
  16. My MFD in the Vectra SRi is very shy with info ! Do I have to put an original Denso CDR500 head unit back in for it to sing and dance?
  17. I liked the "boxy" Mk 1 better :P
  18. Hi Beverley, welcome aboard... Sorry for the lack of contribution but this should soon change, stick with us ;)
  19. Already got it Steve, a Vectra B 2.2 SRi lol... One of the last 2001 !
  20. Hi Kelly... Please don't get despondent at the lack of replies ! I will personally bring this site backto life ;) Welcome aboard :)
  21. Well hello fellow owners... I know a few know me very well here and I am pleased to actually need intricate details about these cars, so I hope you will help ;) I haven't owned a Vauxhall since the late 1980's (Cavalier 2.0 mk2 in rusty white !) and never missed it ! Since then I have been a German and Jap car owner, recently parting with a Volvo T-5 300hp monster I thought it was time to grow up and get one with HALF the power LOL For god's sake talk me out of it  :P
