Posted November 19, 20222 yr I need to replace my Stop/Start battery in my Insignia. Is it a straight swap or will the new battery need coding to the car?
January 5, 20232 yr I bought a 2016 Insignia 6 months ago from a Vauxhall main dealer. They had trouble with getting the stop/start to work after replacing the battery. They ended up leaving it overnight to work on it again the next day, and in the morning it had coded itself and worked immediately.
January 9, 20232 yr I have just replaced the battery on my. 2018 insignia with start/stop and did not have to code the battery in. £177 battery with 5yr warranty
January 22, 20241 yr Doesn’t need coding to car, I have a 2014 Insignia ecoflex CDTi SRi and mine just asked me to open and close all electric windows on first start up.
February 5, 20241 yr 2018 Insignia Sports Tourer 1.5T SRi Nav 5dr Got Halfords to come to my house to fit a new battery as it was the same cost as going to them. They fitted it and checked to see if it needed coding, which it did not. They only had to open and close all electric windows. Edited February 5, 20241 yr by GrahamW
