  2. Hi Dave, This has been a very informative post! I have been trying to research what could be wrong with my car and I think this might be it! I have a 2017 automatic Vauxhall insignia 1.6 diesel. In the past week it has not been going into drive very easily, I have to force it a bit sometimes or just pull it back a bit firmer to get it to go into drive. This is the only problem I have with it, once it is in drive, it does stay there and the auto gear change is smooth and not noisy at all. Is this how your problem started, or was it very sudden? I'm wondering if I keep driving as it, it might eventually do what your did. I would appreciate your opinion on this as you seem to know your auto gearboxes!
