Help!! I can see there have clearly been issues with the grandlands with this same issue, but as far as I can't tell that was 2018 onwards. My car is going through oil at a ridiculous rate, and the oil light doesn't actually come on, the engine light comes on and the car shuts down when the oil runs out. I've been told not to drive it. I have no idea what to do with it now. I have negative equity on it already, which I was planning on adding to the finance on my next car, but I can't really trade it in now with the engine issue (engine light goes off when oil is refilled). Any ideas if this is a new engine needed, or a cheaper fix? I can't afford to replace the engine, but I need my car for work, so I feel like I'm stuck with a piece of scrap on my drive, that has already halved in value in the last 2 1/2 years (bought after COVID when used car prices were stupidly high!)
