[replacing diesel filter]

Good evening

Looking to replace the diesel filter on my 2006 Meriva life and just wondering how to remove the diesel pipe.

If you look on the picture, i have removed the metal clip and assumed it would slide out, but it doesn't ( second picture is the new filter)
