    Timing belt

    Hi troops, My car has 55k on the clock and is 5.5yo. Apparently, I should have the timing belt changed. my question to all you clever people is, do I really need too? I believe it’s around £700 which scares me. The car has rarely been driven hard and I do about 100 miles per week topping 60-70mph should I be changing the belt or is this a cost made up by the manufacturer? cheers
