AshleyM Posted July 18, 2022 Share Posted July 18, 2022 (edited) Hi all, I had a new exhaust gas temperature sensor fitted on my insignia 2ltr cdti 2014, on the 23rd June 2022, as I'd previously broken down due to this sensor , so I've had a new one fitted, I broke down again with the same problem on Friday, managed to walk to a garage who came and recovered it for me , told me the sensor was loose and had black soot around it , ive taken it back to the original garage today, what should I be expecting, has he actually replaced it in the first place ? What do I look for , being a woman ive no clue & don't want to be palmed off, is there any other reason this would happen to a new sensor? Vauxhall Owners Club Posted July 18, 2022 Share Posted July 18, 2022 I would say that the fault shouldn't have recurred unless the part is faulty (as it may actually be the case).
