Sounds very much like the auxiliary drivebelt (what used to be known as a fan belt)

These can run dry as can the belt tensioner bearings sometimes.

If the belt is new then it is probably made in China and these tend to squeal constantly as not much runner content in the belts and need to overtighten to stop the noise but beware as this can damage the alternator bearings.

You can prove this by trickling a small amount of water over the belt or tensioner and if the noise disappears then this is the reason
