Tigra immobiliser problems

Hi everyone,

im a new member, sorry if this topic is addressed elsewhere, had a look but can't find it!

My my wife has a 07 plate Tigra 1.4, it's a loverly little car but we are having a rather strange problem with it. Every now and again when you put the key in the ignition and turn it, you get the spanner warning light flashing and the car won't start. Leave the car alone for a few hours/ days and then it will start! Local none Vauxhall garage have looked at it and they think it's the immobiliser unit? Can this be reset? Does anyone know how I get a fault code?

Any advice or things to try would be most welcome. It's such an odd problem as sometimes it starts and sometimes it does not......

Many thanks

Hi Mac, you have shared this post from 4 years ago, but haven't actually commented. Is there a particular reason?

Maybe you could have an idea on this problem that you would like to share with the forum.
