you should be okay to remove the old badge as the grille is already damaged so is therefore sacrificial.
My philosophy is that if it went together it can come apart and go back together (in theory) its just how little damage you inflict upon it during removal and refitting

technically, you could do if there is no block webbing in the way and also the crankshaft is removed but it is reinstalling the pistons that will be the issue as would have to come through from above the block

I think you'll find most of the maintenance jobs on a Zafira relatively easy to carry out, especially trim parts replacement.

It would be an interesting transplant but huge amounts of work and money and even then don't think it would physically fit in the hole

Possibly best solution is a TomTom SatNav or similar as more up to date and easily updatable on a regular basis
Alternatively try the SatNavStore or similar for updated Map Software for your Vauxhall SatNav - cheaper than Vauxhall would sell an update disc/card

I used to have a 73 Sedan de Ville.....such a huge car but not so by todays standards with the size of some cars on the road

It could be that the fluid is leaking internally between the seals in the master cylinder which does not show as leaking any fluid and if the level does not drop.
That would be a good place to start if you are needing to replace components-

Try eBay for dampers but avoid anything from the far east....if its too cheap to be good then it usually is

Not sure you'll get much more information on the standard system
But you could get an OBD dongle and tether it to your phone with an app it should show heaps more information about the car's live data readings

Most oil makes nowadays are fine to use
Halfords have a range and the old adage is you get what you pay for so get the best you can for your budget

See if Demon Tweeks have something in the oil cooler range that will retrofit

It may loosen up or it could be the old one was sloppy and this is how it should be
but if in doubt take it back to the garage that fitted it

You could start with the vehicle details on the DVLA site and then work back to VIN number interrogation.

If the motor is seized then this won't make any difference and may also blow the fuse
You could try hot water and fairy liquid in the reservoir to see if it breaks down any residue that is blocking the pump which may help.

Probably best to look through any vehicle documentation to see if there is any mention of a code.
Although a lot of systems don't have them now as the audio is coded through the CanBus network so it will only work on that particular car unlike the old days of stealing one and fitting into another car with or without a code. -

Not sure of the exact specs but some of the items you mention could have been factory or dealer options when it was ordered?

Generally the engine should not suffer overheating through a missing undertray but aerodynamics may be affected (e.g noise, economy, etc)

Sounds like you have a great example of what was one of the best models of Astra (in my mind) and as long as it has been maintained correctly over the years should go on for many more years!

Cooling fan issue....check wiring and also consider Temperature Sensor may be defective (sometimes occurs when temperatures go extremely low)

I would suggest a scrap yard but chances are if there is an inherent fault with this type of gearbox then you could just end up with the same issue.
A gearbox remanufacturer would be more expensive but better in the long run as they will have resolved the original issuesYou could also widen your search by finding out which other vehicles the transmission has been fitted to (e.g my Alfa Romeo Mito has the same gearbox as the Corsa and many other make vehicles)

It should be Dextron II but if you pop into Halfords they have cross-referencing catalogues there to confirm this

I love the Monaro and always wanted one but those days are sadly behind me now.
Would like to see some pics of the beastie if you want to post some up?
The LS2 engine is bulletproof so you shouldn't have any issues with that side of things.
Not sure about parts availability for the rest of the car though
